One body language expert has revealed two key signs displayed by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex that prove the couple will « last the course of time ».
Today, November 27, marks the seventh anniversary of the couple’s engagement. The pair announced that they were set to tie the knot just over a year after they began dating during the summer of 2016.
Speaking of the couple, body language expert Darren Stanton shared that Meghan and Harry’s eye contact is a major sign – as well as Meghan’s physical affection towards her husband.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Darren added: « Eye contact is a fantastic indicator as to the levels of emotions between a couple. General eye contact is three to five seconds, whereas prolonged eye contact is longer than five seconds.
« This is often reserved for those who we care about or romantic partners, as it would feel extremely normal and natural to extend that level of eye contact. »
Discussing the Sussexes, he added: « Harry and Meghan often display prolonged eye contact between each other, which proves the couple’s deep level of connection and rapport. Meghan especially has great eye contact, as she tends to fixate on whoever she is talking to. »
Darren also described Meghan’s physical affection as a sign that their relationship will « last the course of time ».
He said: « Another key indicator of deep trust between the couple is when Meghan puts her hand on Harry’s back. In certain gestures, this can be referred to as a power pat. However, in this context, Meghan is placing her hand on his back as a sign of reassurance.
« She comes across as an extremely tactile person, which is a quality Harry also possesses. Some people don’t like to be hugged or touched, but Harry and Meghan are both kinesthetic people, which means they tend to respond to situations with their gut instinct and from a feelings point of view. »
The couple tied the knot the following year on May 19, 2018. They currently reside in California and have since welcomed two children, son Archie, five, and daughter Lilibet, three.
