Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd discuss swap deal as Chelsea close to eighth signing | Football | Sport

Ange Postecoglou failed to hide that Tottenham were closing in on a deal to sign Yang Min-hyuk in a recent press conference.

Spurs are closing in on a deal to sign the South Korean star from K-League outfit Gangwon FC, with the forward expected to be announced as a Tottenham player next week. Min-hyuk will then return to Gangwon FC on loan until January.

Asked about the forward, he said: “I’m well aware of the quality of the K League. When I was at Celtic we were looking to bring over a couple of Korean players.

“They have made a fantastic impact across Europe, none bigger than our Sonny. He’s an outstanding individual. So yes, we’ll be looking far and wide for players. As you said, it’s difficult for me to discuss.” The Aussie then cracked a grin before fielding further questions about South Korean signings.
