King Charles‘s nephew, Peter Phillips, was snapped during an intimate moment with his new girlfriend, Harriet Sterling, as they both attended the Badminton Horse Trials 2024 over the weekend and royal fans were all saying the same thing.
Princess Anne’s son debuted his new partner four weeks after announcing his split from his girlfriend of three years, Lindsay Wallace.
The new couple looked « smitten » as they joined other royals, like Peter’s sister, Zara Tindall, at the bash, which is one of the most prestigious events on the equestrian calendar.
Harriet is a paediatric specialist nurse and freelance writer, according to the Sun. It is unclear when and where the couple first met, but Harriet was pictured speaking and giving a handshake to Queen Camilla, who also attended the horse trials.
An onlooker told The Sun: « They looked completely smitten and he was grinning from ear to ear.
« He looked like the cat that got the cream and acted without a care in the world. He didn’t seem to mind who saw them together. »
Meanwhile, they pair sparked a royal fan frenzy, with well-wishers taking to social media to wish the new couple well, and complimenting her look.
One user wrote on social media site X: « Love love love her! Thats how you dress on a field. Love her chic elegant look. Good luck Peter! »
Many others wished the couple well, with one writing: « I wish him well. »
A second added: « Good luck to him, » While a third chimed in: « He is very nice good luck to him. »
A fourth fan cheekily added: « Lucky her, what a handsome man. »
Peter married his now ex-wife Autumn in 2008, with their engagement being announced the previous year.
In 2020, they announced they had split up the previous year, with their divorce being finalised in 2021.
The King’s nephew initially met Lindsay, who was a friend of Zara’s at Gordonstoun School in Moray, Scotland.
But they reconnected years later during a 2019 reunion, with the couple starting dating in 2021.
The duo split up earlier this year and the separation was described as « amicable » with one source claiming the relationship had « run its course ».
