Reduce blood sugar and bloating by eating one vegetable each morning

Bloating is a common nuisance that can leave anyone feeling uncomfortable and full.

But one weight loss expert shared her secret weapon against this pesky problem. Gabby Marechal, a women’s health and fitness coach with a following of 7,500 on Instagram, swears by a simple remedy for her diet to combat those digestive woes.

She claimed raw ginger on an empty stomach has been a game-changer. She said: « As a girl who’s always struggled with stomach problems, always bloated, always in pain, never comfortable, I was recommended to try and eat raw ginger every morning. »

Initially sceptical, she admitted: « At first I thought no this is weird, but after a few days I got used to it. » She also shared the positive effects she experienced after making raw ginger a staple in her morning routine.

Not only did it enhance her bowel movements, but it also alleviated bloating and stomach discomfort, setting her up for a great start to the day.

She added: « Now I’m not saying ginger is the sole reason this happened but it has 100% helped and I now do this every morning. »

While natural remedies like this can be helpful, persistent bloating should be checked out by a GP, as advised by the NHS.

Raw ginger is hailed for its numerous health benefits, offering relief from chemotherapy-induced nausea, pregnancy sickness and motion sickness, whether chewed fresh or sipped as a tea.

The power-packed root promotes digestion due to gingerol, which boosts gastrointestinal motility, alongside flaunting antioxidant properties that combat lipid oxidation and the formation of reactive oxygen species.

Additional perks include lowering cholesterol levels and regulating blood sugar. If chewing raw ginger doesn’t appeal to you, it can also be enjoyed grated into smoothies or steeped in tea.

After the coach highlighted these wonders in a post, it surged with popularity, amassing thousands of likes and comments. A user exclaimed: « Ginger juice every morning! Celery ginger and green apple! Best fresh juice! »

Another shared their experience: « Been doing it now for two years. Can’t go a day without my raw ginger. »
