Prince Harry switched flight to get home to Meghan Markle after brief UK visit | Royal | News

Prince Harry is back in California. The royal was spotted exiting a Delta flight that landed at LAX at 6.16 pm local time (February 7).

It is believed the Prince caught the Delta flight as the British Airways flight he was reportedly expected to take was delayed by two hours just to the weather. The rain started just as Harry’s plane touched down.

One security guard accompanied him. Harry dropped off his bag at the rear of a « Private Suites » car and jumped inside to remain as dry as possible.

Harry returned home after travelling 11,000 miles roundtrip for what has been reported as a brief 45-minute meeting with his father, King Charles following his cancer diagnosis.

Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex stayed in the US with Archie, four, and Lilibet, two, with one expert saying she ‘recognised’ the importance of giving her husband space.

During his brief visit, Harry did not meet up with Prince William or his wife Princess Kate, who is recovering from her own surgery.

Charles’s cancer diagnosis sent shockwaves on Tuesday, with the Palace announcing the the discovery was made while the King was having treatment on an enlarged prostate.

The Palace said: « During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.

« His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties.

« Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual. The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure.

« He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.

« His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer. »
