M6 crash: Families of victims killed in head-on smash issue tribute | UK | News

The mum of two boys who died in a horror crash has paid tribute to her « beloved angels ».

Filip Rossa, 15, and Dominic Rossa, seven, died in the head-on collision on the M6 in Cumbria alongside their father, Jaroslaw Rossa, 42, and his partner, Jade McEnroe, 33, on Tuesday, October 15.

Emergency services, including two air ambulances, arrived at the scene of a two-vehicle smash involving a Skoda and Toyota just past Tebay services.

Despite their best efforts, the four occupants of the Toyota were sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Jade’s son, Arran, 7, survived the crash but was airlifted to hospital, where he remains in a coma, receiving treatment for severe injuries.

The driver of a Skoda, a 40-year-old man from Cambridgeshire, also died. It is understood that the family had been travelling home to Glasgow from Legoland when the tragedy took place.

Following the fatal crash, the mother of Filip and Dominic, Kamilla said her life « will never be the same again » following the deaths of both of her children.

In a statement released through Cumbria Police this afternoon (October 22), she said: « We are heartbroken at the passing of our beloved angels – Filip and Dominic. 

“Filip was very intelligent, sensitive and full of love. We will never forget his smile, open arms, and the words « tuli, tuli » (hugs, hugs).

« He was fascinated by computer games but also incredibly good at chess. He loved chemistry and dreamed of studying at the University of Glasgow.

« Dominic was always smiling, very resolute and sociable. He was extremely caring, always thinking of others first, and the first to help if someone was in trouble.

« Always surrounded by a group of friends of all ages. He loved dinosaurs and Pokémon, but most of all he loved penguins and dreamed of adopting one. Our lives will never be the same again. »

In a statement also released through police, Arran’s father said: « I would like to thank everyone for their kind messages, to the emergency services and the members of the public that assisted at the scene. »

Cumbria Police say inquiries into the fatal collision are ongoing. The force has urged any witnesses or those with information to come forward.
