It may still be October, but it’s never too early to start thinking about what you’re going to wear to festive parties, on Christmas Day itself, and for your New Year’s Eve celebrations. Roman is offering a variety of stunning dresses perfect for occasions over the coming months, however its glamorous Velvet Side Twist Diamante Shift Dress stands out from the crowd.
The gorgeous frock is made from stretch velvet and has a flattering gathered waist with a side twist that’s finished off with a sparkly diamante brooch. The dress finishes just above the knee and has neat three-quarter length sleeves.
Roman’s garment is available in three colours and you’ll have to act fast if you wish to add it your wardrobe, as various sizes are already sold out in some colourways. The festive green version costs £50 and can be purchased in sizes 12 through to 20.
The festive wine shade also costs £50 and has sizes 10, 14, 16 and 18 left in stock. The bright pink frock is currently on sale for £22, but is nearly completely sold out, with it only having size 12 left.
Shoppers who have already snapped up the Velvet Side Twist Diamante Shift Dress are full of praise for it on the Roman website. One impressed buyer who bought the green colourway awarded it five stars and wrote: « Absolutely love the colour, very rich and luxuriously soft. Comfortable to wear. »

It feels good quality and looks just like it is represented in the advertising. It is a little on the small side on the top and I believe the design would benefit from having a slightly lower neckline or a shallow V neck. However, it felt lovely to wear and it was complimented a lot. »
Someone who bought the pink velvet dress also noted a slight issue in their four-star review: « Fitted perfectly. It’s a lovely colour and very soft velvety feel. No zip and I did struggle to pull it down over my body. But once it’s on it looks and feels really nice. Received lots of compliments while wearing it. It was delivered within 12 hours of ordering. »
