Late Queen’s ‘favourite grandson’ spotted with new girlfriend | Royal | News

Peter Phillips has been pictured holding hands with his new girlfriend, four weeks after his split from Lindsay Wallace.

Princess Anne‘s son, who was once dubbed the late Queen’s « favourite grandson » and is also said to be very close to his uncle, King Charles, was seen spending all weekend with Harriet Sperling – a paediatric specialist nurse and freelance writer – at Badminton.

The couple attended the Badminton Horse Trials, where they were seen watching the event from a sponsor’s tent before leaving in a vehicle with Peter’s daughters Savannah, 13, and Isla, 12, the Sun reports.

On Saturday, Peter was snapped chatting to Queen Camilla as Harriet looked on.

Harriet was also pictured giving Queen Camilla a handshake, however, it has not been confirmed whether she has been formally introduced to other members of the Royal Family.

His sister, Zara Tindall and husband Mike were also pictured at the event.

An onlooker told the Sun of the new royal couple, saying: « They looked completely smitten and he was grinning from ear to ear.

« He looked like the cat that got the cream and acted without a care in the world. He didn’t seem to mind who saw them together.

The source added that Harriet looked « happy and relaxed » at the event, which is one of the most important on the equestrian calendar.

It comes just a month after the 46-year-old ended his three-year relationship with Lindsay Wallace.

The split was described as « amicable » with one source claiming the relationship had « run its course ».

Lindsay, an ex-classmate of Zara, met Peter at Gordonstoun School in Moray, Scotland.

But they reconnected years later in 2019, at a school reunion after Peter’s divorce from Autumn Kelly, his wife of 12 years.

The ex-couple began dating in 2021, with Lindsay meeting Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle in January 2022.

The duo made their final public appearance last year at Wimbledon.
