Inside Meghan Markle’s Christmas tradition with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet | Royal | News

Meghan Markle has revealed some very sweet traditions with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The Duchess of Sussex spoke to Marie Claire about how her and Prince Harry spend their holidays together with her mother and their children.

“I love the holidays,” she told the magazine, sharing that Archie and Lilibet are now five and three, “so every year it gets better.”

She said that: “At first, I think as a mom with children you’re just enjoying having them there, but they’re not understanding everything that’s happening yet.

“But now we’re at the age where I just can’t wait to see it through their lens every year.”

Speaking about the festive traditions her young family has embraced, Meghan mentioned putting out “carrots for the reindeer » at Christmas.

Meghan also mentioned that the family’s Thanksgivings are “always pretty low-key” and “being close to my mom is great,” referring to her mother, Doria, who is also based in California.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are believed to have spent Christmas in California with their children.

Across the pond, several members of the Royal Family headed to Sandringham, in Norfolk, to celebrate the holidays with King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Meghan and Harry haven’t been in Norfolk for Christmas since 2018, and none of their children have so far spent the Christmas holidays with senior royals.

In 2019, Archie’s first Christmas, the family was on a holiday in Canada, while in 2020 the Sussexes had already relocated to California.
