Prince Harry melted hearts on Monday after he met with school students in Canada to launch a new programme ahead of the Invictus Games in 2025.
The Duke of Sussex was all smiles as he spoke with students and played sitting volleyball with them at Seaforth Armoury, a historic military facility, where he launched an online programme to introduce the Invictus Games into schools.
Harry, who is a former British Army captain himself, launched the Invictus Games in 2014 as an international sports tournament for injured and wounded service personnel and returned veterans.
It was Harry’s second public appearance in Canada without his wife Meghan Markle. Earlier he attended the 2024 Grey Cup ahead of the game between Toronto Argonauts and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Royal fans were impressed with the duke’s new appearance and took to social media to praise him.
One user wrote on X on a picture showing Prince Harry interacting with a young girl who was laughing with him: « This is so cutee!! Harry truly is the People’s Prince. »
A second user said: « Prince Harry has the human touch. »
Another one added: « He has got to be the best pa to his 2 children. »
While a fourth commented: « That’s why he’s the Prince of hearts hands down. »
A fifth one opined: « Love watching #HarryandMeghan interaction & how engaging they are w/the children. They have that human touch that the left behind wishing they have. »
The 2025 Invictus Games are due to be held in Vancouver and Whistler in February.
They will feature the debut of winter sports including Nordic Skiing, wheelchair curling, snowboarding and alpine skiing.
