easyJet has launched a new base in Alicante and the airline has said it will come with 10 new flight routes.
The Spanish airport is a leading British holiday destination and it’s the main airport for Benidorm.
easyJet said that 100 jobs will be created at the base, which will operate between April and October.
Javier Gandara, easyJet’s general manager, said: “Until now Alicante was one of our most popular destinations that did not have a base.”
Gandara said the new base will allow easyJet to “continue expanding and consolidating our operations in Spain”.
