Craving winter sun? A beautiful destination in Morocco is one of the warmest short-haul beach hotspots to visit in February.
Agadir is located on Morocco’s southern Atlantic coast and it can be as warm as 27 degrees in February.
While far-flung hotspots such as Thailand and Barbados are warm during the winter, Brits won’t need to book as much leave to visit Agadir.
The pretty Moroccan destination is just a four-hour flight from the UK, making it easy to fit into a weekend break.
So what is there to do in Agadir?
Crocoparc is the city’s top-rated attraction on Tripadvisor and it’s a great choice for holidaying families. The park has more than 300 crocodiles.
One reviewer wrote: “An awesome trip. The park is beautiful and clean. The crocs have plenty of space to swim and bask.”
Plage d’Agadir is the city’s best-rated beach. It’s a six-kilometre-long sandy beach, backed by restaurants and shops.
‘SofiaRC6’ wrote on Tripadvisor: “Agadir beach is wonderful. The sand is so soft and clean, there are sunloungers and shades to rent.”
Tourists can also head into the city’s souk to shop for souvenirs or pick up some fresh local produce.
Due to its coastal location, Agadir has some incredible seafood dishes while tourists will also find classic Moroccan cuisine such as tagines and couscous.
