A BBC reporter stormed out of an interview after WWE star Logan Paul sent a lookalike in his place to conduct an interview intended to be part of a documentary. Entitled « Logan Paul: Bad Influence », the programme centers around allegations that the internet celebrity mislead social media followers in relation to crypto investments.
The BBC alleges that the 29-year-old promoted the investment, while not revealing his own financial interest in them – causing their value to soar. Meanwhile, the YouTube sensation-turned-wrestler is also facing a multi-million dollar lawsuit in relation to a failed crypto venture named CryptoZoo.
Paul denies wrongdoing in relation to the allegations, with reporter Matt Shea looking to put questions to him as part of his documentary. However, a lookalike was sent in the viral superstar’s place, with the reporter quickly becoming aware of the deception.
The BBC employee addressed his doubts that he was speaking to the real Paul, saying: « You look different, » to which the lookalike responded: « I’m locked in, ready for this interview, do you have any questions?’

A frosty exchange then ensued as Shea repeated his claims that an imposter had been sent in place of the man he was meant to be interviewing. He said: « I have to say, the real Logan Paul looks very different, » before turning to the WWE superstar’s team, saying: « Is Logan coming? »
After unearthing the ruse, Shea conceded: « So rather than defend himself against the allegations we’ve been investigating, Logan decided to troll us. Minutes after leaving the gym, we receive a letter from lawyers on behalf of Logan Paul, warning us against publishing our allegations. But these allegations against him aren’t going away, in fact, they’ve been building since 2021. »
Meanwhile, Paul has issued a firm denial of any wrongdoing in relation to the allegations, saying: « I’m going to take care of the people who made me look like this was a scam perpetrated by me,’ Paul said. ‘I didn’t make any f****** money, bro. I lost half a million dollars on this. »
Elsewhere, Paul was challenged to a fight by veteran heavyweight superstar Mike Tyson following his defeat against the viral superstar’s brother, Jake Paul. However, speaking to the Daily Mail, the wrestler remained coy on the subject, saying: « I f****** love Uncle Mike he’s just so… I mean, that was impressive, no?
« For a 58-year-old? He’s tough, proud of him, weathered the storm against a young brute named Jake Paul. I think Jake let him live, » before adding: « No! ‘I think he wants money, I don’t think he wants to fight me. »
