Prince Harry and Meghan Markle set for ‘Golden Visa’ with one key move | Royal | News

The Duke’s rapport with Eugenie, as well as with her sister Princess Beatrice, has remained resilient in spite of the strains on his broader family ties.

Last September, Harry and Meghan paid a visit to Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank at their estate in the upscale CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club, near Lisbon.

Moving to Portugal could also increase the likelihood of the Duke making short, spontaneous trips to accommodate a busy schedule, especially after he was denied a meeting with his father King Charles earlier this year due to clashing schedules.

Charles Rae, former royal correspondent at The Sun, added that the couple’s potential property in Portugal could see its price slashed if they enlist the help of Eugenie’s husband, who does marketing and sales for CostaTerra.

He told GB News: « Surprise surprise that they’re using their relatives who’ve got it. Jack and Eugenie have got a house there, and he represents the company in whose house he has bought.

« So it’s only natural to think that Harry and Meghan are going to be neighbours to the couple. I’m sure they’ve got a good deal, far better than you or I would ever get.

« It’s more important for Meghan to do that because Harry can do that in any case, as he’s still technically a British subject. But if they get this Golden Visa, I don’t think that’s why they’re doing it, to be perfectly honest.

« I’m still of the view that Meghan’s never going to set foot in this country ever again. Harry keeps coming back because he’s got various charities to sort out and legal matters to sort out as well. So there’s nothing preventing him coming back, whether or not he’s got a place in Portugal. »
