Woman ‘knifes teen daughter to death to protect her from Elon Musk’ | World | News

A woman who allegedly stabbed her teenage daughter to death told police she did it to « protect » her from Elon Musk. Tyiece Oninski, from the Town of Turtle, Rock County, Wisconsin, called a non-emergency number to report the death of daughter, Kuren Rein, a day after the alleged killing on March 20.

Ms Oninski said that she killed her child « to protect her from somebody else » in a call lasting 13 minutes. She later admitted to wanting to shield her daughter from the tech billionaire, according to a criminal complaint reported by WMTV.

Asked on the call if she needed an ambulance, Ms Oninski replied: « She’s dead, honey. She needs a hearse. »

When police arrived at the family home they found Kuren’s lifeless body and a knife nearby. A bloody footprint was also found by officers. Ms Oninski’s foot was stained in what police believed to have been blood.

WMTV reported that Ms Oninski had cuts on her neck and wrists from an apparent bid to take her own life.

Ms Oninski was taken to hospital where she reportedly tested positive for benzodiazepines, amphetamines and THC, a compound found in cannabis.

While in hospital she reportedly asked if she was in the news and was said to have felt disappointed to discover she wasn’t at that time.

A GoFundMe page set up to support Kuren’s brother and to help pay towards her funeral costs has raised almost £13,562 ($18,000).

The page states: « Our hearts are shattered as we share the unimaginable loss of a beautiful 14-year-old life taken far too soon.

« This tragedy has left a family, friends, and an entire community grieving in ways words cannot fully express. »

It adds that supporters are coming together to support a young man who lost his sister in a devastating and unthinkable way.

The GoFundMe continues: « No one should have to face something like this, especially at such a young age.

« As he navigates this overwhelming grief, we want to ease the burden of funeral expenses so he can focus on healing and remembering his sister. »
