Waterproof hybrid facial hair trimmer is ‘brilliant for the money’

Shoppers have been praising an affordable stubble trimmer and shaver that’s helping them keep facial hair “neat and tidy”. The Remington Omniblade is winning lots of fans thanks to its hybrid design that lets you enjoy a close shave or just a trim and tidy up.

The shaver costs £34.99 at Debenhams and is “designed to give you that close, clean-shaven look”, while the Omniblade lets you groom all hair types with its 35mm main blade.  The device comes with three comb lengths of 1mm, 3mm or 5mm, so you can style your facial hair to your liking.

It’s fully waterproof and powered by two AA batteries, providing a 30 minute usage time. The product is averaging four out of five stars from the 27 reviewers who’ve left their thoughts to date.

One said: “Having always been an avid fan of the manual razors I was beyond surprised at this. The packaging is impressive, with each section compartmentalised and the main attraction itself coming with additional heads for different cutting styles. Would highly suggest for anyone looking for a razor without the hassle of using creams/lotions but achieving the same cut in half the time and effort!”

Another was also delighted: “This is a great little razor, perfect for trimming your beard down or just tidying up the stray bits of stubble on your face. Would highly recommend this to anyone and it also comes with a variety of blade heads.”

Meanwhile a third praised the battery life: “As close to a close shave without having a close shave. Brilliant trimmer for the money, battery life is very good, very comfortable in your hand. Would definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for a new trimmer.”

However, there were a couple of grumbles mentioned, including one buyer who pointed out: “I tried using it without the guides for a close shave but I found it awkward to use and ended up cutting my neck.”

Another highlighted: “It can shave without any problems and other times it tends to pull depending on the length of your facial hair.”

Boots also stocks a 5-in-1 trimmer from Philips that’s a bit cheaper. Priced at £21 the OneBlade has a comb that adjusts from 1-5mm, while the dual-sided blade shaves in either direction, so you get great visibility of every hair you’re cutting. It’s also fully waterproof and each stainless-steel blade lasts up to four months of use.

Elsewhere, Amazon stocks the Braun 10-in-1 All-in-One Style Kit Series 5 that comes with more attachments, but is a bit pricier at £49.99.
