Virgin Voyages unveils £95k all-you-can sail pass with unusual payment option | Cruise | Travel

In an unprecedented move for the cruise industry, Virgin Voyages has unveiled its all-you-can-sail pass. The innovative scheme will set sail lovers back £95,000 for an entire year of unlimited cruising for two people – and in a groundbreaking twist, payments can be made using Bitcoin.

This annual pass, slated to commence with voyages in 2025, gives seafarers unrestricted access to hop onto any of the adult-only Virgin ships, embarking from any location they desire throughout the year.

Not only does this offer boundless ocean adventures, but it also comes with the perk of taking a companion along at no extra cost.

Richard Branson, the adventurous founder of Virgin Group, was enthusiastic in his remarks, « I’ve always been a big believer in the power of travel and adventure to spark creativity and bring clarity. What started as a sought-after ‘work from sea’ concept with our Season Pass has evolved into something even more special.

« Now, Sailors can jump aboard any of our ships, across an endless variety of exciting destinations for an entire year. We’re offering unlimited opportunities for adventure in a way that has never been done in cruising before. »

This nautical extravaganza isn’t just about infinite cruises; passengers will be treated to luxurious accommodations in the Sea Terrace cabins that boast balcony views.

The Lady Ship fleet, including the new Brilliant Lady debuting in September 2025, will be available for these pass holders, who can choose when their year of maritime exploration begins anytime from January to April 2025.

In the buzz on social media following the announcement of the new pass for Virgin Voyages, netizens have been lavishing praise.

« That’s cheaper than the price tag at a nursing home! Sounds like a great deal to me, » exclaimed one Facebook user, delighted with the value proposition, reports the Mirror.

The innovation hasn’t gone unnoticed on X (formerly known as Twitter), where enthusiasts are excited about the cryptocurrency angle — with Hassan tweeting: « Love seeing crypto make waves in luxury travel! Virgin Voyages is definitely ahead of the curve. »

Demetrius echoes this sentiment, posting: « Sail the high seas in style and show off your cryptocurrency savvy. »

Another chipped in with astonishment: « They’re accepting Bitcoin payments, woah, that’s huge. »

In addition to the buzz around payment innovations, the pass offers a slew of exclusive benefits including priority embarkation, free laundry services, personal concierge support, limitless premium internet access, and a generous $100 (£78.61) bar credit for each voyage. Plus, it allows holders the flexibility to bring along a guest of their choice, varying their plus one for different trips within the year.

The sought-after Virgin Voyages Annual Pass is currently up for grabs on a first-come, first-served basis for a flat rate of $120,000 (£94,338), taxes and fees not included, for all bookings made.

Prospective sailors can pick from starting dates on either January 1, February 1, March 1, or April 1.

Once purchased, the pass remains valid for 12 months from the selected commencement date. There’s a sense of urgency as bookings must be locked in by March 31, 2025.

A generous commission of $10,000 (£7,861.50) is on offer for any travel advisor who manages to sell a pass.

To secure the annual pass, travellers are required to make an enquiry through the ‘Contact Us’ page on the Virgin Voyages website.
