Donald Trump faced mounting health concerns following a verbal blunder during today’s press briefing, with online observers suggesting he appeared to slur his words.

The President joined White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt at today’s media conference, where he encountered significant online criticism. Trump presented photographs of individuals apprehended by ICE, addressing recent backlash over his immigration enforcement approach.

The displays carried the heading « Minnesota, Worst of Worst. »

Nevertheless, Trump’s presentation prompted online fears when he incorrectly described one individual’s charge as « international Murder » instead of the accurate « intentional murder. »

Trump also struggled with pronouncing Aldrin Guerrero-Munoz’s name, whose poster showed he faced charges for the intentional murder of his 3-month-old son.

Whilst moving through the displays for the cameras, Trump commented, « I’m going through this because I think we have plenty of time. I’m just looking at these charges, it’s pretty incredible. Many murderers. »

« All they wanna do is get them out, » Trump said regarding the continuing ICE operations. « They wanna take them out of our country. And we’re met with paid agitators, insurrectionists, troublemakers. »

X users were swift to remark on Trump’s demeanour. One posted, « Watching the Trump presser. Very low energy. Slurring words. Rambling. This guy brain is fried. »

Another observer remarked, « Seriously, are people watching Trump now in the Press Briefing Room and thinking that is a Commander in Chief that is fully compos mentis? He is rambling, slurring a little and his whole behaviour is extremely odd. »

The White House press briefings have become increasingly confrontational in recent days. Trump’s hardline immigration policies have attracted substantial media scrutiny, leading to a barrage of challenging questions directed at Leavitt.

In last week’s briefing, she branded a journalist a « leftwing activist » during a heated discussion about the Renee Good shooting incident.

Referring to ongoing ICE operations, Trump stated: « All they wanna do is get them out, » adding: « They wanna take them out of our country. And we’re met with paid agitators, insurrectionists, troublemakers. »

The briefing took place ahead of the President’s planned visit to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. His keynote speech is scheduled for Wednesday.

During the press conference, the President made a light-hearted comment about his upcoming trip, joking: « I’m going to a beautiful place in Switzerland, where I’m sure I’m very happily awaited for. In Switzerland they don’t know about this. They don’t have this problem. »

At Davos, Trump will face several US allies he has upset with his tariff threats over Greenland. On 17 January, he revealed plans to impose 10 per cent tariffs on eight European nations that resisted his territorial ambitions.

Several high-ranking officials from Trump’s administration will join him at the Economic Forum, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and special envoy Steve Witkoff.

However, Leavitt will remain in Washington D. C., where she is set to handle the inevitable barrage of questions that will follow Trump’s Wednesday presentation.

Donald Trump told supporters at a rally in Rocky Mount on December 21 that he was in « perfect health » as he addressed growing speculation about his mental fitness.

“I did something no other president’s ever done,” he said. “I took cognitive tests because I know that, and by the way, not easy.”

He added that the results showed he was fit to serve, saying: “I’ve taken now three cognitive tests. I’ve aced every single one of them.”
