President Donald Trump’s medical team has officially released a full statement regarding the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan he underwent in October.
The letter, sent to Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt by the president’s physician, Sean P. Barbabella, was obtained by The Daily Express U.S. « As part of President Donald J. Trump’s comprehensive executive physical, advanced imaging was performed because men in his age group benefit from a thorough evaluation of cardiovascular and abdominal health, » the letter read.
« The purpose of this imaging is preventive: to identify issues early, confirm overall health, and ensure he maintains long-term vitality and function, » it continued. « President Trump’s cardiovascular imaging is perfectly normal. »
Barbabella confirmed that « There is no evidence of arterial narrowing impairing blood flow or abnormalities in the heart or major vessels. »
He also stated that both of the president’s heart chambers « are normal in size. »
Furthermore, Barbabella noted that « the vessel walls appear smooth and healthy, and there are no signs of inflammation or clotting. »
He also mentioned, « Overall, his cardiovascular system shows excellent health.
« His abdominal imaging is also perfectly normal. All major organs appear very healthy and well-perfused, » Barbabella added. « Everything evaluated is functioning within normal limits with no acute or chronic concerns. »
The statement concluded, « This level of detailed assessment is standard for an executive physical at President Trump’s age and confirms that he remains in excellent overall health. »
President Trump initially underwent the procedure in October, just before embarking on his three-country Asia tour this week. Trump remained tight-lipped about the reasons for the procedure during a brief exchange with journalists.
« It was perfect, » he informed journalists aboard Air Force One.
When questioned about why he had the procedure and if the doctors were looking for anything specific, Trump responded with a jest.
« You can ask the doctors. In fact, we have doctors travelling with us, » Trump retorted. He assured reporters that he would inform them if he thought the results wouldn’t be favourable.
« If I didn’t think it was going to be good, either I would let you know negatively, I wouldn’t run, I’d do something, but uh, the doctors said some of the best reports for the age, some of the best reports they’ve ever seen, » he stated.
