Donald Trump has hit out at a recent report alleging he is facing « realities of ageing in office », declaring he is in perfect mental and physical health. The president said he has taken a « perfect physical exam » and « aced » a comprehensive cognitive test ».
He added that there will be a day when he runs low on energy but that is « certainly is not now ». He wrote on Truth Social: « There will be a day when I run low on Energy, it happens to everyone, but with a PERFECT PHYSICAL EXAM AND A COMPREHENSIVE COGNITIVE TEST (“That was aced”) JUST RECENTLY TAKEN, it certainly is not now! GOD BLESS AMERICA & MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!! »
Trump added that he has « never worked so hard in his life ». He said: « I won the 2024 Presidential Election in a Landslide, winning all Seven Swing States, the Popular Vote, and the Electoral College by a lot. I one our Nation’s Districts by 2750 to 550, a complete wipeout.
« I settled 8 Wars, have 48 New Stock Market Highs, our Economy is Great, and our Country is RESPECTED AGAIN all over the World, respected like never before.
« The last Administration had the Highest Inflation in history – I have already brought that down to normal, and prices, including groceries, are coming down.
« To do this requires a lot of Work and Energy, and I have never worked so hard in my life. »
Recently, fears for Trump’s health have reignited after the Republican was spotted struggling to walk with his nine-year-old grandson, Theodore Kushner, in the White House Presidential Walk of Fame over the weekend.
The duo sported suits as they threw an NFL football back and forth to each other. Despite these rumours, Mr Trump claimed earlier this month that a recent MRI scan gave « some of the best reports for the age » and « some of the best reports they’ve ever seen ».
He also bragged about taking the MoCA test, used by healthcare professionals to evaluate cognitive impairment, calling it a « very hard […] IQ test ».
White House Physician Dr Sean Barbabella also said the results from Mr Trump’s yearly check-up « exceptional, » and his cardiac age is « approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age ».
