The quaint town seen in Bridgerton that’s perfect for a staycation | UK | Travel

The quaint market town of Petworth in Chichester makes for a perfect staycation location.

With its monthly farmers market, quaint pebbled streets, and grand Grade I listed Petworth House and Park, there’s plenty to do while visiting the stunning town.

It is a destination that flies under the radar with just 1,069 posts under its hashtag on TikTok despite its Hollywood connections.

During your visit, you may recognise some parts of the town for having appeared in a number of TV shows and films.

Petworth House appeared in both Bridgerton and Napoleon, with the house’s North Gallery standing in as an art gallery in the former and as the location of the ‘Victims Ball’ where Napoleon meets Josephine in the latter.

The surrounding park doubled as Maleficent’s Moors in the popular Disney film Maleficent.

For those looking to stay in Petworth, Sykes Holiday Cottages have shared a number of holiday cottages in the area, and from a striking cottage dating back to the Tudor times to a charming stone-built barn conversion, there’s something for everyone.
