The Beatles drummer Ringo Starr launches new single ahead of latest album | Music | Entertainment

Last year, Sir Ringo Starr released his first album in years, a Country-themed one called Look Up.

For that record, he teamed up with T Bone Burnett, Bob Dylan’s guitarist during the 70s, who worked on the film soundtracks of O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Cold Mountain, Walk the Line and Crazy Heart.

Now, they’re reunited for The Beatles drummer’s 22nd solo album called Long Long Road, set for release on April 24.

Available for pre-order now, the new 10-track record features collaborations with Sheryl Crow, Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, Sarah Jarosz, and St Vincent.

The first single, It’s Been Too Long, is out now and can be listened to below.

It’s Been Too Long was penned by Burnett and Daniel Tashian and features the harmony vocals of Molly Tuttle and Sarah Jarosz.

Sir Ringo said: “I’m blessed to have T Bone in my life right now and working with me on these records. After we did the last record, which I love listening to, this one just sort of happened. I like to say sometimes I make the right moves, like you can go left or right at any point, and one of the right moves was hooking up with T Bone for Look Up, and now for this one, which I’m calling Long Long Road, because I’ve been on a long long road.”
