Alexander Zverev has revealed that he ‘hated’ playing Indian Wells, with it being his ‘worst’ tournament.
But the German says that he is getting used to the conditions.
After his three-set win over Brandon Nakashima, Zverev told Sky Sports:
« Historically, I hated it (playing in the desert), it’s by far my worst Masters 1000, but I’m finding my range, I’m finding my rhythm, getting used to it.
« I thought today was a great win for me. He has an unbelievably sneaky serve; he hit 27 aces against me today, and it was difficult to get through that one. But happy with the win, and hopefully I can play better and better each match. »
