Weybridge, a stunning UK town located approximately 17 miles from central London, is one of Surrey’s most expensive neighbourhoods. Nestled between Addlestone, Walton and Byfleet, it boasts one of the UK‘s priciest streets.
Cavendish Road, within the ultra-exclusive gated community of St George’s Hill, is renowned for its wealthy and famous residents, with properties commanding a staggering £6.6million. The M25 and M3 motorways are situated nearby and excellent rail links to London from Weybridge Railway Station, it’s a prosperous commuter town. A list compiled by Rightmove for The Times revealed the most expensive streets in each region of the country, based on properties currently on the market.
Cavendish Road in Weybridge topped the list for the South East of England, with an average house price of £6,692,632, reports Surrey Live.
Situated in the Elmbridge district of Surrey, Weybridge is bisected by the River Wey, which flows into the River Thames to the north, offering delightful waterside walks.
The town is home to the charming four-star Oatlands Park Hotel, popular for weddings and elegant afternoon teas. It’s also surrounded by golf clubs, including St George’s Hill, New Burhill, Silvermere, West Byfleet, Pyrford, Hersham and the exclusive course The Wisley.
Plus, it’s a stone’s throw from Walton Health (Old), named one of England’s best golf clubs.
Weybridge boasts a top-tier private school, St George’s, where parents shell out approximately £10,000 per term (Year 7 to Upper Sixth) for their children’s education.
Not far away is Brooklands Technical College, offering vocational training including apprenticeships and higher education courses.
However, Weybridge is perhaps best known for its iconic race track. The Brooklands Museum, located on Brooklands Drive, is a motoring and aviation museum situated on the site of the world’s first racetrack.
Open year-round, the museum hosts a variety of seasonal events for families to enjoy. It has an impressive Google rating of 4.8 with guests loving the attraction.
Adjacent to it is Mercedes-Benz World, featuring exhilarating driving experiences and three floors of attractions and displays.
