Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly can’t see themselves leaving the US due to one sweet reason.
Speculation begun following President Donald Trump‘s recent electoral over whether the couple who have lived in California since 2020 – would be keen to move their family out of the country.
However, as recently reported by Express.co.uk, one insider has claimed that Meghan and Harry are unlikely to move out of America – and the sweet reason is because their five-year-old son has started a new school.
The insider said: « There are no plans for them to move from the US. Harry and Meghan feel at home in California, and they won’t be leaving there without a fight…
« Meghan is a US citizen, and [Prince] Archie has just started a new school, so to leave the place they call home isn’t even an option. »
It has been reported that some of their A-lister friends have been « tempting » them to move back to the UK – but Meghan and Harry reportedly have a « very good legal team » ensuring that they can remain in the US.
This comes after Donald Trump previously stated that he wouldn’t support the Duke of Sussex as he « betrayed the Queen [Elizabeth II] ».
Discussing this, the insider added: « They have a lot of support behind them to ensure that they will be able to remain in the United States. »
The couple are now said to consider the US their home – with Archie and three-year-old Lilibet’s education a key reason behind this.
Unlike his sister, Archie was born in the UK – but was less than a year old when his parents decided to step down from royal duties.
The family then moved to the US and now reside in a multi-million-pound mansion in Montecito. Giving their son a sibling, the pair welcomed their daughter in June 2021.
Meghan and Harry last visited the UK as family of four in June 2022 to attend celebrations for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The couple returned, without their children, just a few months later. Although Harry has made many visits since the Jubilee celebrations, Meghan hasn’t stepped foot on UK soil since September 2022.
