Armed police officers are responding to an incident in a UK market town. A cordon was set up in Radcliffe on Monday, March 30, by Greater Manchester Police (GMP) following « reports of a disturbance ». A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: « Officers are responding to an incident on Stand Lane, Radcliffe following reports of a disturbance at around 2:15pm. Road closures are currently in place at the scene. The investigation is ongoing. »

A large police presence was reported in the area, affected by road closure. Bury Council has shared information about the closure on X, and is urging people to « avoid the area if possible ».
