At the young age of nine, Princess Charlotte not only takes the crown as both the wealthiest royal child, but the most stylish too and whatever she wears during a royal engagement is often guaranteed to be an instant sell-out. It is clear that Princess Charlotte has already started to inherit her mother’s impeccable sense of style as she has been ranked as one of the most fashionable celebrity children and managed to beat her two brothers on the list, according to experts.
According to retailer and website, Outdoor Toys, Princess Charlotte was ranked the second ‘most stylish celeb kid’ after North West – daughter of socialite Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West. Charlotte beat her two brothers, and in fifth place was celebrity kid Blue Ivy Carter, daughter of singer, Beyonce. Speaking of the accolade, the retailer wrote: « With wardrobe choices that exude the classic British elegance, it’s no surprise she [Charlotte] continues to make headlines. She is the celebrity child with the highest article engagement of 14,014 and one of the most Googled young stars with more than 43,000 annual searches. »
Also according to research conducted by Electric Ride on Cars, the only daughter of Prince William and Princess Kate holds an eye-watering fortune of £3.6 billion to her name – making her the wealthiest child within the Royal Family.
The seven-year-old’s riches can be attributed to the ‘Kate Middleton effect’, which refers to the influence that the Princess of Wales’s fashion has over the public, and it is expected Princess Charlotte, too, will have a similar influence on the economy.
As reported in OK! Magazine, Electric Ride on Cars explains: « Princess Charlotte of Wales ranks as the world’s richest child with a huge net worth of £3.6 billion ($4.4 billion).
« Although her net worth has dropped by 12% since 2021, she still edges out her older brother Prince George, apparently due to the ‘Kate Middleton effect’, where the fashion choices of the Royal Family can have a huge impact on fashion trends. »
Looking into the future, Princess Charlotte would be entitled to inherit a very senior title when Prince William eventually becomes King. In the years to come, Charlotte could be styled as The Princess Royal – the current title of Princess Anne.
The Princess Royal is typically the eldest daughter of the monarch but the inheritance of the title is not guaranteed if the previous holder is still alive.
When King George V died, his daughter Mary was still the Princess Royal, meaning that when King George VI came to the throne his daughter Princess Elizabeth (the late Queen) could not inherit the title even though she would have been eligible to hold it.
When the current holder of the Princess Royal passes, it goes back to the monarch to bestow upon their eldest daughter, if they have one.
