Prince William reveals how George, Charlotte and Louis talk about feelings | Royal | News

Prince William has revealed how his children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis talk about their feelings in a rare admission this week. The Prince of Wales has stepped away from his usual royal engagements and instead appeared on a pre-recorded episode of Radio 1’s Life Hack, alongside host Greg James, rapper Professor Green and representatives from a mental health charity.

During the episode, which aims to raise awareness of men’s mental health, William talks about the importance of understanding your emotions and reaching out for help. He also admitted that he has his own down days, and has learnt how to deal with his emotions.

As well as talking about himself and the importance of men’s mental health, the future King was also asked about his three children.

When asked whether George, 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, seven, talk about their feelings, William joked: “Yes, sometimes too much.”

He added: “I get all the details, which I love. It’s amazing. Being able to understand it, have time with it, decipher it.

“You feel a sense you need to fix it for everyone, and that I find quite difficult.

“I have to remind myself—you don’t need to fix everything, but you do need to listen, and it’s important to be okay with those feelings and those comments.”

Although the family keep as much of their private life as private as possible, it is believed they are very close-knit and open with one another.

He told the Brazilian news channel: “Every family goes through difficult times and faces challenges together. How you deal with those moments makes all the difference. We decided to tell our children everything, both the good news and the bad. We explain to them why certain things happen and why they might feel upset.

“Many questions might come up without answers – I think all parents go through that. There’s no rulebook for being a parent, and we chose to talk about everything.”
