Ordinary task Prince William and Kate do almost daily with George, Charlotte and Louis | Royal | News

Prince William and Princess Kate may be the future king and queen of the UK and Commonwealth, however away from the cameras their main roles are being parents.

While the Prince and Princess of Wales, 42 and 43, care greatly about their royal work, the couple have always made it clear that their three children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, are their priority.

This has shaped the way they have approached their royal lifestyles, with the couple even choosing to switch palace walls and live-in staff with a humble cottage on the Windsor Castle estate, where they live just the five of them.

The couple have also tried to keep life as ordinary as possible for their three children, which sees both William and Kate take part in one ordinary task almost every day with them.

Although they are two of the most famous people in the world, this does not stop William and Kate from doing the school run on an almost daily basis as they take George, Charlotte and Louis to and from Lambrook School – a short drive from the family’s Windsor home.

It is believed the pair both take part in this parental duty whenever they can.

As well as making sure their children get to school and back safely, William and Kate reportedly are also very involved with their children’s school lives as they attend matches, shows and sporting events.

Speaking to Fabulous previously, royal expert Ingrid Seward said: “According to the other mums at Lambrook she turns up for sports days, she turns up for special matches, and she’s a very hands-on mum.

“Sometimes she goes with her mother Carole. And obviously William goes when he can. They often go altogether. Obviously the other mums are all googley-eyed to see [her].”

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ ordinary approach when it comes to their children’s lives at school is also carried on at home, where it is believed the children help their parents cook and clean.

Since moving to Windsor in 2022, the family have no live-in staff and reportedly enjoy greater privacy.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl once said: “They are far more ordinary than many might imagine – the kids even have to do chores in return for their pocket money.

“It’s about them wanting to have a normal, happy, ordinary family home and lifestyle which, at Adelaide Cottage, they are really achieving. »
