One reason Christmas will ‘mean the world’ for King Charles this year | Royal | News

King Charles is set to host the annual Royal Family Christmas festivities at Sandringham House this year with his wife Queen Camilla.

While the monarch, 76, has had a tough year following his cancer diagnosis, the King seems to be in high spirits ahead of the big day, attending various Christmas events and markets.

However, while royals have celebrated Christmas at Sandringham for decades, this year is set to be very important for the family, especially for Princess Kate, who was also diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. She is set to be among the 45 royals at Sandringham on December 25.

Talking about the upcoming big day, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told OK! that she thinks it will “mean the world” to the King and Queen to have all the family together under one roof.

This includes Queen Camilla’s son Tom Parker Bowles, who has been invited to join the Royal Family at Sandringham this year, for the first time.

Jennie told OK!: « After the year they’ve had, I’m sure it’s going to mean the world to the King and Queen to have as many of their family as possible joining them for Christmas.

“And, as the number of youngsters increases, the celebrations become more and more child-oriented. Which is exactly what Christmas should be all about.

“I’m sure this will be a Christmas when the whole family will want to unite around Charles and Camilla, and William and Catherine, to help put this year behind them and cheer them into a brighter year ahead. »

While plenty of royals are on the guest list this year, it seems that Prince Harry, 40, is not one of them, with the duke set to spend his sixth Christmas away from his royal relatives.
