Where is Bridgerton filmed in Bath?
Many of the Bridgerton scenes that are meant to be Regency-era London were actually filmed in and around Bath, England. The city’s perfectly preserved Georgian architecture and cobbled streets make it an ideal stand-in for 19th-century London.
Here are the key Bath filming locations you can visit:
1. No. 1 Royal Crescent – The Featheringtons’ house
The exterior of this grand townhouse on the famous Royal Crescent is used as the home of the Featherington family. In real life, it’s a museum furnished to reflect late 18th-century life.
2. The Royal Crescent – Backdrop for many scenes
The sweeping row of Georgian terraces forms a striking backdrop for several shots in the series.
3. Bath Assembly Rooms – Balls and social events
Some of the grand social scenes, including balls, were filmed here. These elegant rooms with chandeliers and Corinthian columns capture the Regency era perfectly.
4. Abbey Green – Madame Genevieve Delacroix’s dress shop (“Modiste”)
This cobbled square near Bath Abbey doubled as the exterior (and sometimes interior) of the Modiste dress shop where Eloise and Penelope visit.
5. Bath Street – London street scenes
This colonnaded, cobblestoned street features in several outdoor scenes meant to represent London.
6. Beauford Square & Trim Street – Historic street filming
These quieter Georgian streets and square were dressed up for various street scenes, including carriage journeys and everyday Regency life.
7. Edward Street (near Great Pulteney Street) – Season 3 filming
Used for new street scenes in later episodes, this residential Georgian street was dressed by the production for period-appropriate shots.
8. The Holburne Museum – Lady Danbury’s residence exterior
The grand façade and approach to the museum have been used to represent Lady Danbury’s house in the series.
