The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for wind in Northern Ireland. It’s the latest in a series of warnings across the UK as the country braces for stormy weather.
The new warning covers County Antrim, County Armagh and County Down in Northern Ireland from 6am Friday until 1pm Friday.
The Met Office said: « A spell of strong and gusty southerly winds is expected and will likely coincide with rush hour on Friday. Gusts of 45-55 mph are likely across the warning area, with exposed coasts and hills of counties Down and Antrim perhaps seeing gusts of 65 mph. Winds will quickly ease from the west during the early afternoon. »
