They say it’s never too late to learn – but Meghan Markle is cutting it fine to start showing the Royal Family respect and decorum. There was a time when a mouse couldn’t sneeze at Windsor before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrote about it or told Netflix viewers about the mouse’s cruel whispering campaign.
At least we know Harry and Meghan won’t be starring on Celebrity Traitors anytime soon. If Claudia Winkleman tapped either of them to be a Traitor, they couldn’t keep it a secret. Harry would probably find the nearest camera to start accusing everyone else in the castle of being a Traitor, while Meghan would rush to the castle kitchen to make pots of ‘As Ever, A Faithful’ organic jam.

No one in the last 50 years has monetised the spilling of royal secrets like Harry and Meghan.
Harry divulged private conversations with his brother William and sister-in-law Catherine to make the Waleses look bad – and the Sussexes appear victims of a royal machine.
America lapped it up – they see the Royal Family as a soap opera, and for them it was Bobby Ewing spilling the beans on JR.
But years later, it’s become a tired formula. America is bored with the Sussexes’ whinging, and their Netflix contract has fizzled out as viewers switched off.
The world is battling real problems, and an entitled, wealthy royal claiming he was once wrestled to the floor by his big brother is not garnering sympathy anymore.
Many have wondered if Harry and Meghan will use their UK return this summer – marking one year before the launch of the Invictus Games in 2027 in Birmingham – to cosy back up to their seemingly estranged Royal Family.
So, Meghan reportedly ditching plans to write her memoirs, supposedly to « uphold the standards of the monarchy », seems a bit rich coming from her.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, had reportedly been offered several lucrative publishing deals to publish her book, following the success of Prince Harry‘s Spare.

She had hinted at her intention to follow in her husband’s footsteps last year during a tell-all podcast. But now it has emerged that Meghan is choosing not to move forward with the idea.
A source said: « Meghan and Harry are cautious about everything they do and say to uphold the standards of the monarchy. Those [memoirs] are the types of projects they don’t want to do. »
The Royal Family always had the motto of ‘never complain, never explain.’ Instead, Meghan and Harry have never stopped complaining … about everyone.
The Duchess of Sussex published a children’s book, The Bench, in June 2021, around one year after she and her husband quit the UK for the US.
Now her tell-all memoir, which could have earned her mega money, may be being benched – but this olive branch to King Charles and Prince William may be too little, too late.
