Meghan Markle shows her excitement about season two of Netflix show in new video | Royal | News

Meghan Markle updated fans with a candid video expressing her excitement about a new season of ‘With Love, Meghan’ on Netflix which will air in autumn. The 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex recently celebrated the first season entering the streamer’s top 10, but a new video uploaded on Instagram has showed Meghan expressing excitement to her fans.

Posting the news to her 2.3million followers, Meghan, wore a personalised baseball cap embroidered with the pun ‘Lettuce, Romaine Calm’ on the front and ‘As Ever, Meghan’ on the back. She conducted a little dance as she turned her back to the camera to reveal the words on her cap. Alongside the video, Meghan captioned the post: « Lettuce romaine calm…or not(!) because I’m thrilled to share that Season 2 of ‘With Love, Meghan’ is coming! »

The eight-part Netflix show, which sees Meghan share cooking, gardening and hosting tips with friends and famous guests at a California estate, launched on the streaming platform on Tuesday, March 4.

A few hours later, the former TV show Suits actress officially launched her new brand, As Ever, with an updated website revealing that raspberry spread and honey will be among the first products sold.

Tudum, the official companion site for Netflix, confirmed that filming had been completed for the show’s second season and that it will be streamed in the autumn. The website also shared recipes Meghan made on her show with her friends.

Guests in the first series include Hollywood actress and producer Mindy Kaling, celebrity chef Roy Choi, designer Tracy Robbins and cosmetics entrepreneur Victoria Jackson. The menu includes pasta, crudités, focaccia, frittata and baked fish.

It comes as the show has received a mixture of reviews. The show did make the daily top 10 on Netflix in the UK, coming in at number six, and other countries around the world, including Hungary and Kenya, though not seemingly in America. Review website Rotten Tomatoes gave the show a rating of 28 percent, with one critic writing: « The show simultaneously stains for aspiration and reliability in a way that never gels. »

A review in The Guardian described it as a « gormless lifestyle filler » while The Telegraph gave it two stars and branded it « insane » and an « exercise in narcissism ».

The first series was originally due to air in January but was postponed until March due to the Los Angeles wildfires.

In a statement at the time, Netflix described the upcoming programme as a « heartfelt tribute to the beauty of southern California », adding that it was delaying its launch due to « ongoing devastation » in the state of America.
