Meghan Markle reaches major milestone as expert delivers verdict on Instagram earnings | Royal | News

Meghan Markle has reached a major milestone on social media that could bring her financial benefits in the future.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, has been back on Instagram this year to promote her solo business ventures, including her upcoming Netflix show “With Love, Meghan” and her lifestyle brand “As Ever”.

While Meghan, who quit royal life alongside Prince Harry in 2020, had not previously been on the social media app publicly for some time, her Instagram launch on New Years Day marked the start of a new venture for the duchess.

Just less than two months after this launch, the mum-of-two has also reached a major milestone with 2 million people now following her Instagram @meghan, where she has been sharing a mix of personal and professional posts.

As well as having an impact on her brand image, one royal expert believes Meghan’s Instagram action could also have financial benefits down the line.

Meghan Markle has hit two million followers on her personal Instagram account despite the Duchess of Sussex launching the profile just last month.

Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News: “Her Instagram‘s has got its own appeal and she could make quite a lot of money by monetising posts.

“The way she covered Invictus. You would expect that. It has been an enormous success so when you’ve got a success you ought to use it and, to be perfectly honest fair, she did. »

So far, Meghan has eight posts on her account, including a picture of her and Prince Harry kissing to mark Valentine’s Day last week.

Another post is a moving video of family pictures and footage to mark the death of her beloved rescue beagle Guy.

Most recently, the duchess has been using her account to promote her upcoming business ventures, with just less than two weeks to go until her series “With Love, Meghan” hits Netflix screens on March 4.
