Meghan was joined by her close pal, Kelly McKee Zajfenn, who previously appeared on her Netflix lifestyle series, who is now expecting a baby. Their joint appearance was in honour of Kelly’s work with the Alliance of Moms. Kelly co-founded the organisation in 2014 to support the Alliance for Children’s Rights, which provides legal services, education, safe housing and support for vulnerable children.
In pictures and video from the “red carpet,” Meghan was seen holding her friend’s bump while posing for the cameras.
But some people were not impressed with her move and called her out on social media.
One user wrote on Reddit: “This is extremely disturbing. This is way too much touching and caressing for a public appearance. It’s gross.”
Another one commented: “She’s literally the nightmare PR client.
“Any agent/manager/publicist will tell you that when you’re facing hit piece after hit piece, shut the f*** up and go away. Go away for five d**n minutes. Let it die down.
“Instead, she posts ‘sneak peaks’ of the kids, spams Instagram with her s***t products, makes this bizarre, unannounced appearance at another ‘charity gala’.
“That’s why every agency and organisation has washed their hands of managing her, she doesn’t listen to experts and data. What Meghan wants, Meghan gets.”
A third one said sarcastically: “Like she’s never met a pregnant woman before. And she’s absolutely unbothered, just out there glowing orange and having the best time.”
A fourth one commented: “I love my sister and my sister in law, yet I never went around touching their pregnant stomachs. I’ll give them a hug, but not go rubbing their belly.”
