‘Masterpiece’ war action film that’s ‘near-perfect’ – on Amazon Prime | Films | Entertainment

If you’re looking for a film that will keep you gripped until the very end, there’s one that should be on your list. The 2008 film has stood the test of time, and it’s a popular watch for film fans.

The Hurt Locker tells the story of a Sergeant during the Iraq war who is assigned to an army bomb squad. He is put at odds with his squadmates because of his maverick approach to his work. Starring Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie and Brian Geraghty, the film has captivated audiences.

One person on IMDB called the film “Kathryn Bigelow’s Masterpiece.”

Another fan said: “We don’t always have the chance to appreciate great films, at least not from actual times.

“But this should be considered at least a jewel of the latest motion picture history.

“This is a near-perfect kind of film that shows the difference between some men who are used to work as a team and another man who would rather play the hero in such a dangerous situation as war itself.

“It also says a lot about war becoming an addiction for someone, and how that can turn into the most important thing in someone’s life.”

The film is based on the personal experiences of journalist and screenwriter Mark Boal.

Boal was embedded with a US Army bomb disposal unit in Iraq, which inspired him to write the script.
