A Transport for Greater Manchester spokesperson said:
« Due to a road traffic collision on Mosley Street in the city centre, no tram services are operating between St Peter’s Square and Piccadilly Gardens.
« As a result, there are several service changes in place.
« Services will operate as follows: Manchester Airport and Bury to Altrincham services will travel via via 2cc [Exchange Square]; Altrincham – Manchester Victoria via Exchange Square; MediaCityUk – Crumpsall via Exchange Square; Ashton-under-Lyne – Crumpsall via Market Street and Shudehill.
« There is a step-free walking route between St Peter’s Square and Piccadilly Gardens which will take you approximately seven minutes. »
