Manchester Airport: Fire crews rush to plane after emergency as runway closed | UK | News

Manchester Airport’s runway was briefly closed after an emergency involving a Ryanair flight. According to reports, operations were suspended for seven minutes while emergency crews responded.

A spokesperson for Manchester Airport said the plane had an issue during loading that caused a fuel leak. A fire engine attended to make sure the plane was safe before it was moved to a stand, they added.

However, the issue was addressed swiftly, with operations halted whilst the plane was moved across the tarmac. Operations on the runway have resumed.
