M6 traffic LIVE: Motorway closed after huge crash with two mile queues | UK | News

Drivers on the M6 are being hit by major rush hour disruption this morning following a serious crash. Traffic on the motorway was being held in both directions between J35 for Carnforth and J36 for Kirkby Lonsdale after a vehicle had overturned. Emergency services have rushed to the scene.

In a new update, National Highways said traffic has now been released in both directions, but two lanes are still closed on the northbound carriageway. There is also two miles of traffic on the approach to the crash, with motorists warned to « allow extra time ».
