Long queues are building on the M6 after a car overturned on the motorway following a two-vehicle collision.
Traffic was held between the M6 Northbound from J18 A54 Middlewich Road (Middlewich/Holmes Chapel) to J19 A556 (Knutsford) following the incident.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: « At 12.35pm today (17 March) police were called to a two vehicle collision on the M6 between junction 18 and 19 northbound.
« One of the cars was on its roof. The female driver of the car has gone to hospital to be checked over as a precaution. »
The force added that there were « no other reported injuries ».
Travel service Inrix said: « All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to overturned car on M6 Northbound from J18 A54 Middlewich Road (Middlewich / Holmes Chapel) to J19 A556 (Knutsford). »
Two lanes reopened on the motorway just after 1pm. There are still long delays with two lanes shut.
