Drivers face massive delays after a multi-vehicle crash shut the M25 anti-clockwise in Essex between J30 (Thurrock) and J29 (Upminster) just after the Bell Common Tunnel.
Police have said the incident reportedly involved three vehicles, and left one person injured. Another was « trapped » in their vehicle.
National Highways said earlier this morning: « Traffic has been STOPPED on the M25 anti-clockwise in Essex between J30 (Thurrock) and J29 (Upminster) due to a multi-vehicle collision. All emergency services are in attendance. Long delays are building on approach. »
There were reports of queues forming to Enfield at J25, 24 miles away.
