Traffic is building on the M1 after as multiple emergency service vehicles respond to an accident on the major motorway.
National Highways reports that traffic has been stopped due to a collision and overturned vehicle.
The incident occurred on the southbound between J5 Watford and J4 Edgware, Hertfordshire
One witness at the scene posted on X: « Seen 8 ambulances, 6 cop cars & 5 fire engines pass on the hard shoulder and now a helicopter in the sky.
« Avoid using the M1 into London. Hope everyone is ok #M1 #M1motorway. »
