Luke Littler finally nails driving test as dream car within reach | Other | Sport

Darts sensation Luke Littler has passed his driving test at the first attempt, marking another milestone in his life. The young darts star took to Instagram to share his achievement, proudly displaying his full driving licence and posing in his home driveway.

He jubilantly captioned the post: « Get innnn first time and 0 minors. » However, the journey to obtaining his licence was not without its challenges, as Littler failed his theory test six times before finally passing.

Despite this, he had no issues when it came to the practical aspect of driving, as shown by passing first time. With a successful darts career and endorsement deals already under his belt, Littler is now in a position to buy his dream car, which he revealed is a Mercedes A-Class, ranging between £30,000 – £50,000.

He said: « I’ve always loved a Mercedes A-Class. Just a small car. Last year I was looking at driving and I loved Ford Focuses.

« But now, I’ve gone up in the world just a little! What model? No idea. Just an A-Class. I don’t know the different models. »

After winning the World Championship in January, Littler admitted that he hadn’t started driving lessons due to his busy schedule of darts tournaments and climbing the world rankings. « I haven’t had driving lessons yet because it’s been so hectic, but I’m going to have to do it before I get into my twenties when it’ll be too late and I can’t be bothered, » he said.

If I get a car, it won’t be a birthday present from anyone. I think it would have to be a birthday present from me to me. »

Despite only beginning his lessons earlier this year, Littler had to bide his time to take his practical test after finally passing his theory on the seventh attempt, achieving the exact pass mark of 43 out of 50. However, his hazard perception was a smoother ride as he scored an impressive 63 out of 75, well above the pass threshold of 44.

Littler took to Instagram to celebrate his theory success, sharing the letter confirming his pass and writing: « We will have a look, of course we will have a look! » accompanied by dancing emojis.
