Detectives are appealing for information following an assault on a teenage boy in Liverpool last night (Tuesday 17 March).
Just after 8.40pm officers received a report that a 15-year-old boy had been assaulted on Croxteth Drive by two offenders.
The boy was found with several wounds to his legs and head and was taken to Alder Hey Children’s hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
An investigation is ongoing in the area and there is a police cordon near Sefton Park.
Detective Inspector Natalie Charlesworth said: « We are still in the early stages of an investigation into what was a violent assault on a young boy near Sefton Park.
« I would urge any witnesses who were on Croxteth Drive last night and saw what happened to please come forward as soon as possible. We are determined to do all we can to find those responsible.
« Similarly if you work or live in the area and have any CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage from 8pm onwards please contact us as this may provide vital evidence. »
