Lisa Snowdon’s ‘stunning’ tweed co-ord from M&S

Lisa Snowdon made her return to ITV’s This Morning last week to share her top partywear finds in the lead up to Christmas, and while viewers loved her purse-friendly selections, it was her own outfit that drew the most attention. If you were among them and want to copy her this festive season, you’re in luck, as we’ve found it on the high street. And fans can’t believe where it’s from.

Lisa wore a sparkly tweed two-piece from Marks and Spencer consisting of a waistcoat and coordinating skirt. Each piece is sold separately on the M&S website, with the skirt retailing for £40 and the waistcoat priced at £50, reports the Mirror.

When the presenter later shared photos of the outfit on Instagram, fans rushed to the comments to express their love for her look. One wrote: « Looking absolutely gorgeous in that outfit ». Another said: « The Christmas glow is real. »

One fan said: « How is this M&S? It’s stunning! » Meanwhile, another comment said: « I admired this outfit when I saw it in M&S a few weeks ago. It’s fabulous on you ».

Both pieces are crafted from a navy tweed fabric woven with metallic threads and sequins, adding a festive twist to a classic style reminiscent of Chanel. The material has some wool for added warmth, and the waistcoat boasts gold-tone buttons for an extra touch of sparkle. There’s also a matching blazer in the same material that can also be purchased separately, and costs £60.

This set could be your new go-to for the festive season, as it strikes the perfect balance between dressy and smart. It would work great for a work Christmas party, afternoon drinks, or even Christmas lunch.

Of course, the two items look great worn together, but there are endless possibilities for wearing each separately. As shown on Lisa, the waistcoat can be worn on its own, but the V-neck also allows it to be layered with everything from collared shirts and polo necks to long and short-sleeved tops. It’s also long enough to wear with a pair of trousers or even a maxi skirt.

Meanwhile, the skirt features a playful, tiered shape that is fitted at the top and flares out into a frilly skirt, lending it a nice movement. Its mini length gives the classic skirt suit a modern update, and is also great for pairing with everything from tall boots to elegant heels and ballerina flats or loafers.

It’s convenient that both items are sold separately, as it allows you to mix and match sizes for the perfect fit. At the time of writing, the waistcoat is available in sizes 6 to 20, and the skirt in sizes 8 to 22.

One satisfied customer, who gave the waistcoat a five-star review, said: « A good quality, thick waistcoat with a flattering long silhouette that matches well the skirt. »

Some were happy with the versatility of the waistcoat, saying: « Gorgeous waistcoat, would look great with jeans or trousers, can look great with a shirt underneath. »

Others bought it to wear during the festive period, with one writing: « Just a perfect fit, looks stunning and very festive. »

A third review said it was made of « very pretty fabric, » while another said: « Great quality, good price, just enough sparkle. Not worn yet, bought for Christmas, but very happy with it. »

One drawback of the set is that neither the skirt nor the waistcoat is machine washable, and are dry-clean only which, of course, is a bit of an added expense.
