All flights at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) were grounded due to an « aircraft emergency », according to reports.
The disruption related to an incoming flight that encountered a hydraulic issue.
The US Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement: « Operations are normal after the FAA briefly slowed arrivals and departures at the airport because the aircraft was disabled on the runway. »
Bloomberg reports that the temporary ground stop was put in place due to a disabled aircraft on the runway.
Officials say Delta Air Lines Flight 183 landed safely at JFK around 1.30pm local time after the crew reported a hydraulic issue.
