A major clear-out has taken place at Royal Lodge, the former home of Prince Andrew, with staff instructed to remove items linked to his time at the property. Teams working at the Windsor residence were seen disposing of large amounts of furniture and personal belongings, with skips reportedly filled as the clean-up progressed, according to the Daily Mirror.
Andrew moved out of Windsor after further Epstein files contained his name and more images in connection with the late paedophile financier. Being included in the documents does not suggest wrongdoing.
The former prince had been living at Royal Lodge for more than 20 years, most of it with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. Staff allegedly set fire to unwanted belongings of their own last week. Skips full to the brim with stuff were reportedly also seen nearby.
Sources said that the burned items and furniture belonged to Andrew’s former staff. The reports have added to the sense that this marks a definitive end to Andrew’s long association with Royal Lodge, symbolising a new chapter for the historic Windsor estate.
Buckingham Palace declined to comment as it does not act or represent Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The former prince has been further linked to Jeffrey Epstein following allegations made by a former Russian model and alleged victim of the convicted businessman.
The woman told the Daily Mail that she was present at Epstein’s New York townhouse with other women during Andrew’s 2010 visit to « chez Epstein« .
She described the atmosphere as unusually relaxed, saying that « with Andrew it was very informal, like family », and recalled that Epstein himself would remark, « we should adopt Andrew into our family ».
According to her account, Andrew « was so nice » and « fit in so well », with the environment. She added that she and the other women were permitted to dress more casually during his visits, in contrast to the more tailored appearance expected when other high-profile guests were present.
The former model, who reportedly received a payout as one of Epstein’s victims, also questioned why Andrew did not appear concerned about the presence of young women around Epstein, noting that she herself looked « very young ».
