A statement posted by Kuwait’s General Authority of Civil Aviation on X said: « Drones Target Fuel Tank at Kuwait Airport, and Competent Authorities Deal with Fire at the Site The General Authority of Civil Aviation announced today, Wednesday, that drones targeted a fuel tank at Kuwait International Airport, leading to a fire breaking out at the site. »
The official spokesperson for the Authority, Mr Abdullah Al-Rajhi, confirmed that according to initial reports, the damage is material only and there are no casualties.
« He explained that the competent authorities immediately began implementing the approved emergency procedures, with firefighting teams and concerned authorities dealing with the fire, whilst all competent authorities are present at the incident site. »
