How to watch West Ham vs Man Utd: TV, streaming and kick-off details | Football | Sport

West Ham and Manchester United meet in a crunch Premier League clash at the London Stadium this afternoon. It’s been a tricky start to the season for both sides so far.

The Hammers have only managed two victories in their first eight matches and are reeling from a 4-1 defeat at Tottenham last weekend. The pressure is on for their boss Julen Lopetegui, while United recorded their third win at home to Brentford to ease Erik ten Hag‘s woes – for now.

Kick-off in east London is set for 2pm today (October 27). But UK fans not inside the ground won’t be able to watch the game live, with the match not being shown on TV.

Why is West Ham vs Man Utd not on TV in UK?

The fixture was scheduled for Sunday due to United’s Europa League commitments, with the Red Devils having played Fenerbahce in Turkey on Thursday evening. Tottenham and Chelsea find themselves in the same boat, with matches against Crystal Palace and Newcastle respectively also kicking off at 2pm.

However, Sky Sports can only air two games. Their main event of Super Sunday is Arsenal vs Liverpool, which starts at 4:30pm, and the other selected match is at Stamford Bridge.

Starting next season, all matches not slated for 3pm on Saturday will be aired live in the UK as part of the Premier League‘s new TV deal. But for now, this is not the case.

Although the match won’t be televised in the UK, it will be aired via local Premier League TV rights holders in other nations. Sky Germany has chosen to cover it.

Canal+ in France and Qatari network beIN Sports have also decided to broadcast the game. In the United States, NBCUniversal holds the rights to all 380 Premier League matches this season.

For those residing in the UK, Sky Sports will provide highlights shortly after the final whistle. Extended highlights will be featured on Match of the Day 2 from 10:30pm on BBC One.
